The Art of Selecting Top-Notch Curated Content for Facebook Page Marketing

If you’re looking for ways to improve your Facebook page, one option is to focus on the quality of the content you share. This means sourcing or creating content that is interesting, useful, and engaging for your audience.

One way to ensure that the content you share is top-notch is to curate it. Curating content simply means finding and sharing the best content from other sources. This can be a great way to supplement your own content and provide your audience with a steady stream of high-quality content.

Publish the curated content on your page and study your statistics very carefully.

Which of your posts gets shared the most?

Which ones get commented on the most?

Which ones get liked the most?

Pick out these winning pieces of content. Then look for related or similar types of curated content and publish those on your site.

How to Pick the Best Content

It’s one thing to say that you’re going to pick the best content your competitors have, it’s another to actually do it the right way. The big danger here is you’re going to be using your opinion as to what “the best content” means.

What’s the Winning Strategy?

People don’t care about what you like or don’t like. What they care about is what they like. So, how do you use this as a winning strategy? It’s actually pretty simple.

Look at your competitors’ Facebook pages and scan through their posts. Which of their posts is the most popular? Which of their posts gets shared a lot, gets the most likes, or gets the most comments?

Pull the link for those posts and post them on your website. See if you get the same level of engagement. If you do this enough times with many different competitors’ contents, certain patterns emerge.

You would quickly realize that the audience you’ve built up to this point is more likely to engage with certain types of content than others. You figure out what works and you ditch everything else. Focus on the stuff that works, and then you scale them up.

You publish more of it and eventually, you come up with your own version. It’s not a question of hunches or guesses. You have to look at objective indications of popularity such as page likes, comments, shares, and other types of engagement.

If you do this right, you will be able to put up a fairly compelling Facebook page that can lead to conversions later on.

If you want more free traffic from Facebook then the best way to do this is to increase the amount of engagement that you get with your posts. Engagement is an action that a Facebook user takes with respect to your posts. The most popular forms of engagement are commenting, liking your posts and sharing them but engagement can take other forms such as clicking links and tagging you in other posts. All of this engagement helps you to improve your organic reach.

Perfect Posting Times – It is just common sense – if you add your posts at the times when your audience is the most active then you significantly increase your chances of getting more shares, likes and comments. Fortunately, there is data-driven research to help you identify the best social media posting times so that you can align your posting schedule with these. Read more.

Fan-Centric Content – Do you give your audience what they really want on Facebook? Most marketers don’t do this and then wonder why their engagement levels are so low. Let’s say that you are a local restaurant using Facebook for marketing. Does that mean that everything you post has to be about food or drink – no certainly not! Read more.

Identify Your Popular Posts – If you have been making posts on Facebook for a while then you can easily identify which of your posts were the most popular with your audience. By looking inward like this you can see what type and format of content really resonate with your audience. Read more.

Get Your Photo House in Order – Facebook users will always be more attracted to good-looking visuals. The vast majority of content on the platform is image based. The reason is obvious – it is a lot more interesting than a bunch of text or a boring link. So one of the easiest things that you can do to increase your engagement on Facebook is to get your photo house in order. Read more.

Make Responding to Comments a Priority – Research has shown that businesses that respond to comments on their posts have a lot more success on Facebook than those that don’t. A lot of the time a comment is actually a question from someone in your target audience. Other people will have the same question in their mind so by answering this you will make a lot of your audience happy. Read more.

Align Your Website Content With What Works Well on Facebook – You want to get as many shares, likes and comments as possible on Facebook. The more shares, likes and comments you have, the more you will know that the content that you are providing is resonating with your audience. You are giving them what they want. Read more.

Use a Compelling Call to Action on Your Posts – If you want people to take action on Facebook (or online in general) then you need to tell them what to do. Some people are uncomfortable with this but it is true and you need to do it. You need to include a call to action (CTA) with your posts. Read more.

Use Video – Videos are immensely popular on Facebook. Facebook users consume over 8 billion videos each day. The simple fact is that users would much sooner watch a short video than read a lot of text. You could call this laziness, but often it will be preferable or more convenient for the user to consume your content in this way. Read more.

Make Your Posts Short – Facebook users do not want to read long posts. You will get far more engagement if you keep your posts brief. If you need to explain something in detail then create a brief post and a link to your website where more information is available. Read more.

Know What Your Audience Wants – Facebook Insights can provide you with the information that you need to understand your audience. Do not overlook this powerful resource as it can provide you with a lot of detail that you probably won’t have been expecting which you can use to connect better with your audience in the future. Read more.

Ask Your Audience a Question – Not enough Facebook marketers do this. Facebook users like responding to questions. It’s human nature to provide an answer when you are asked a question. When you ask the right questions you will find that your audience responds with a lot of comments. Read more.

Facebook Stories – When you create good Facebook stories you will build a stronger desire within your audience to see more of your content. Some users will spend time on your Facebook Page checking out previous posts that they missed. Read more.

Increasing your engagement is the best way to get more free traffic from Facebook. Implement these techniques starting today and watch your engagement levels soar – and your free traffic, too.

A Facebook checklist will help you get the most from your posts by driving traffic to your website and gaining your readers’ trust.

Get Valuable Link Clicks

Keep it Short – Short posts are more likely to be read than long ones. Long posts tend to get fewer link clicks.

Hashtags – Facebook users aren’t as likely to search for your content using hashtags as they are with other social networks. Save your characters for the important things you have to say.

Use Short Links – When adding a link to your posts, use a link shortener such as bitly.com. This helps keep your posts shorter and more likely to be read.

Creating Engaging Images to Boost Traffic

Boring Images – Use attention-getting images in your Facebook posts. There are many free (and stunning) photos available online. Use a site like Pixabay, Pikwizard, and Unsplash for gorgeous photos and other images. Read their terms of use prior to use.

Use Large Photos – Larger photos look better than smaller ones. Viewers who are accessing your post via their mobile devices with HD screens will be more impressed with larger photos.

Sharing is Caring – Ask your readers to share your images and to respond to your post using a GIF. Or, you can ask them to respond with one word or phrase. This engagement means more people will see and respond to your post.

Let Them Choose – Post an image that showcases two alternatives. Ask them to choose which one they prefer. This elicits a response from them and anyone else they share it with. This example is regarding kitchen islands. You can use any number of photos for your readers to make a choice from.

Hosting a Facebook Event

Start with Your Website – Create an event page on your website. Use that page link in your Facebook event post.

Share Updates – Schedule event updates leading up to your event date. This will keep people interested while driving traffic to your website’s event page.

Make Your Invitation Pop – Create a digital invitation using a free service such as Canva. Upload it to your Facebook event and add details and your website’s event URL.

Be Part of a Group or Create One

Join groups related to your niche and target market or create your own.

Answer questions and provide useful feedback.

Ask the group host if it’s okay to add your website link to your posts that would add more information to the conversation.

If you’ve created a whole new website or specific page, provide the link and ask for critiques. This can create some real conversation.

Whether it’s your group or one you belong to, always be respectful of the rules.

Provide positive feedback from the group.

Use this Facebook checklist to drive your followers to your website. You’ll find that you’ll have more engagement and website traffic.

Social media is a great way to get lots of free traffic to your website or blog. Facebook is one of the best social media platforms to get involved in.

Facebook Has the Most Impressive Statistics

According to 2018 Facebook stats, about 2.23 billion people log into their accounts each month. Contrary to those who say Facebook is dying and that Instagram rules, the truth is that Instagram has less than half the visitors as Facebook.

Facebook Provides Many Marketing Opportunities

Facebook is full of marketing opportunities. Consider the following Facebook marketing opportunities when putting your marketing plan together.

Your Business Page

Create a detailed business page including tons of information about your business as well as content relating to your niche. A great page on Facebook gives you the chance to be discovered and to gain followers. The more followers you have, the more people will see your content, and hopefully, like and share it.

Give Your Posts a Boost

Your posts should be useful and link to your content at your blog. Facebook allows you to turn posts into ads as well. See which of your posts have received the most engagement, and boost them.

Use Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger has grown in popularity over the last year or so. It’s a convenient way for people to quickly connect with you. And, yes, there’s an app for that. Facebook Messenger also includes a way to set up a chatbot.

Chatbots are like an autoresponder in an email. Someone sends a message and they get a reply back. With chatbots, you set trigger words and then a reply to the person that is likely to fit the topic of the trigger word. It’s a way to automate customer service and marketing and can save a good deal of time if you set it up correctly.

Closed Facebook Groups

Create a closed group about your niche or business, and invite people to join. You may also choose to offer it as a customer bonus when they become a client.

Don’t Overlook Remarketing

Remarketing allows you to tag a visitor to a product page at your site. Whether they buy or not, the tag can trigger ads to appear to them for that item for the next 30 days. The tag is called a pixel. It can be created in your Facebook Ads Manager.

You more than likely you already have a Facebook business page. Use these Facebook marketing trends to boost your following and promote your business, products, and services.

When you think of marketing your business on Facebook, you immediately think, “business page”. You’ve been told not to mix business with your profile and vice versa. It’s true that your business page should be dedicated to business-related topics. After all, you may not want your business connections seeing what you or your friends did at their bachelor party in Las Vegas.

The truth is that your personal Facebook profile provides some great marketing opportunities. Start there to build personal relationships that can be turned into business relationships the right way.

Here’s 10 things to start doing today:

Tell Your Friends – If people don’t know what you do for a living, they won’t know to contact you when they need your services. Add multiple business related posts to your Facebook profile. Spread them out over a period of time. The 80/20 rule is a good measure of how many business-related posts are acceptable. 80% personal posts/20% business posts. Be creative. Instead of saying, “I just sold a house in the XYZ neighborhood”, try saying something like, “XYZ neighborhood. You’ve got some new neighbors”. Add a photo and link back to an appropriate page on your website.

Like or Comment – The above scenario will get comments, likes and shares from your friends’ friends. When that happens, send the new contacts a friend request. Start building a relationship with them.

Check Your Facebook Settings – Settings play an important role in how your profile is or isn’t seen by the public. Go through your Facebook settings to be sure your profile can be seen by the general public.

Let Them Follow You – Set your personal profile to allow follows. This allows everyone to see all of your updates without having to accept them as a friend first.

Mix Business and Pleasure – As you add business posts, keep them as personal as possible. Subtly let your friends know about a business event you’re involved in or an award you just received. People like doing business with people they feel connected to in a personal way.

Contact Information – When adding a business post to a comment on your profile, include a link back to an appropriate page on your website or blog. Include your contact information.

Call to Action – As you make a business post, include a CTA that drives them to a freebie or something else of value. This gives you an added opportunity to add them to your sales funnel, turning Facebook friends into clients.

Images and Videos – Posts that include images and videos get far more interaction than plain text. Post photos and videos of community events, a house you just listed, getting an award, going fishing. Start a conversation with images and videos. Something as simple as updating your profile header and profile picture can get a lot of likes and comments.

It’s Okay to Brag – Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to brag about ourselves. We don’t want to sound pompous. When something happens to you professionally that’s a source of pride, let your Facebook community know. This gives them an opportunity to celebrate with you.

As you see, there is a way to mix your Facebook business pages with your profile. It takes a little finesse, but the results can be impressive. To learn more way to generate leads through social media, watch my 3 1/2 minute video. Great tips!

Over 1.3 billion people are active users on Facebook. Just about half of them log into Facebook every day, providing marketers with a great opportunity to promote their business and increase sales. Facebook marketing success is not guaranteed. However, there are some things you can do today to find Facebook business page success.

The No-Brainer – Facebook marketing success begins with a good Facebook business page. Utilize every Facebook opportunity available to create a complete and interesting branded page. Check back often to see if there is anything you can add to your page. Always keep your information up-to-date.

Brand Yourself – Add you professional photo and business logo. Brand your Facebook page to your website and other social media pages. Your visitors will become acquainted with your brand, creating a connection with you.

What Do You Want Them to Do? – Add a Call to Action button to your page. Facebook has a variety of buttons that can be customized for your page. One my favorite features is the “Services” tab. These can be used as a ‘call to action” tab that is linked to your website or landing page. Add a post on your personal profile asking your friends to like your business page.

What Do You Do? – When deciding whether or not to accept a friend request, I first take a look at their business description. This information is invaluable. It gives visitors a description of your business, contact information and a link to your website, blog and other social media accounts.

Facebook Groups – One of the best ways to connect with people who are interested in what you have to offer is through Facebook Groups. This gives you more online exposure and opportunity to share your expertise. Become the one they think of when they need your services.

Post Often – Posting 2 or 3 times a day increases your chances of more people seeing your post. Choose different times of the day and evening to see when you get the most activity. Likewise, pay attention to the types of posts getting the most response. Use a social media hub like HootSuite to schedule posts in advance.

Be a Socialite – Not a Bore – Posting your Just Listed and Just Sold property listings is acceptable. It’s not acceptable to post only ads. Get involved in conversations that build relationships. Sprinkle your ads within the many posts your followers will enjoy and be entertained by.

Check Your Settings – Facebook business page settings are important. They give you control over who can contact you, who can see and publish to your page as well as many other settings. Check your settings periodically to make sure they haven’t changed.

Set aside some time today or in the near future to take advantage of these tips. Watch your Facebook audience grow while building your brand.

How to Use Facebook to Boost Your Online Visibility

3 Super Simple Things You Need to Start Doing Today

Facebook is a powerhouse in the social media realm. They consistently provide us with opportunities to boost our online visibility. Posting our status on a regular basis is a start. Here’s 3 ways we can use Facebook to quickly and easily increase our online presence.

Change Your Cover Photo – Are you aware that every time you change your cover photo, an update appears in your timeline? Why is that important? The update not only shows up on your timeline, it shows up on your followers timeline, too. It’s also a fact that the more you show up in someone’s timeline, the more likely it is that they will visit your page.

Try this test. Change your Facebook cover photo. See how many people “like” it. Compare that to your other posts. Does it get the same, less or more “likes” than your usual updates?

Pin It – Do you have an introductory or promo video? What about your lead capture form? Use Facebook’s “Pin It” feature to keep it at the top of your timeline. Every time a new item is posted, it’s placed in the top position of your feed. By using the “Pin It” feature, it will always stay on top.

Click the drop down arrow for the item you want to remain at the top of your timeline. Click on the “Pin to Top” text. When you want to unpin it, do the same thing. Click on the text, “Unpin from Top”.

Images Rule – Text posts are good. Images and video are great. Statistically, images and videos are clicked on and shared more than plain text. Add your own images or use images from other sites. Keep in mind that when someone likes or shares your image, it now appears in their news feed, giving you more exposure.

Facebook offers so many other great opportunities to boost your online presence. The three things I mentioned here are super simple and take no time at all. Start by changing your cover photo on a regular basis. If you have a promotional video or image, pin it to the top of your timeline. Regularly add images and videos to your timeline. You’ll see more engagement and better online exposure for your business.

According to DMR Stats/Gadgets post, Facebook has 1.591 billion users each month. Of those, 1.038 billion people are actively using Facebook each day. Try implementing the following tips to get positive results from your Facebook marketing efforts.

Your Facebook Business Page – If you don’t already have a business page, do it now. It’s a very simple and intuitive process. You can always add a tweak here and there after it’s set up.

Create brand awareness by adding an appropriate cover photo and logo.

Create a Call to Action button or arrow on the cover area of your page. Link it to an ad or freebie on your website or landing page. This will help build your fan base.

Create a keyword-rich business description. Facebook gives you a space for short and long descriptions of your business.

Add your address, phone, email and website address to your page information. This will help drive visitors to your website and encourage them to contact you.

Promoting Your Facebook Page – There are several ways to get people to your page.

Ask people on your personal profile to like your business page.

Find and connect with Facebook Groups in your target market area. This will increase your business exposure and give you an opportunity to share your expertise. You can also start your own targeted group.

Post to your business page at least once a day and respond to comments. Use a social media hub like HootSuite to create automatic posts.

Your business page provides a great opportunity to promote property listings, open houses and other advertising. However, it’s also a great tool for building relationships. Give your prospective clients more informative and entertaining posts than business posts.

Go through the settings portion of your business page. Make sure it’s set up to allow people to share your posts and post to your page.

When you know how to use Facebook to market your business, you will be able to grow your brand awareness and increase your online exposure to your target audience.
