Getting Highly Effective Results from Your Social Media

5 Steps to Getting the Social Media Results You Want

Social media marketing takes a lot of time and dedication before you see results.  Your time is valuable.  Make sure you are doing everything you can to get a good return on your time investment.  Here’s some things you can do to make your social media campaigns work for you.

Landing Pages – Every great sales funnel includes a landing page.  Your landing page should include an enticing description of the freebie you’re offering and a lead capture form.  Include your landing page link on all of your social media channels.  Boost it on Facebook for more results. Continue to promote your landing page link on social media.

Reputation Management – Continually watch for negative comments.  These could be as simple as, “That’s a ridiculous price for that home“. Respond to all comments in a timely manner and to negative comments even quicker.  This lets your community know you’re engaged and interested in their thoughts and comments.  It’s also a good way to get immediate control over a situation that could go south quickly.

Update Your Profiles – All social media platforms change and update their formats.  Make sure your profiles are always up-to-date and that you are utilizing every opportunity to include a robust presence.  When you change companies or have a new award or designation, make sure your social media profiles reflect that.  Up-to-date and complete profiles instill trust and confidence in your followers.

Watch What You Post – Post information that is valuable and interesting to your followers.  Stay away from hot button issues such politics, religion or sticky social issues.  Be careful of the language you use.  Some people will find these things offensive and stop following you.  This is not to say that you can’t have an opinion.  Just observe caution in how you present it.

Choosing Your Social Media Platform – Facebook and Pinterest are both great social media platforms.  However, they have an entirely different way of using them.  LinkedIn is more of a business atmosphere where Twitter is designed for short, frequent messages.  YouTube is a great platform for adding virtual and community tours as well as testimonials and tutorials.  You can post to all social media networks or choose the platforms that works best for the type of posts your write.

Getting positive results from your social media efforts is achievable.  Use these five tips today to start seeing seeing the results you’re looking for now.
